In 2012 the Archdiocese of Boston, began a new chapter with the promulgation of Cardinal O’Malley’s Pastoral Plan, Disciples in Mission. Because this pastoral plan was fundamentally about evangelization and not simply about closing buildings/saving money, a lot of resources and energy has been directed into the creation and facilitating of evangelization formation opportunities for clergy and lay-faithful.
We have come a long way since the first training/materials we offered in both the quality and effectiveness of these resources. Many, many people have made contributions over these past 6+ years – both internal team members and those who have attended our workshops and offered constructive criticism that we wisely listened to!
Now we begin another chapter by announcing the launch of EVANGELIZE!
For the first time we will be selling our workshops and related workbooks to the public. With our launch we are promoting both Forming Disciples in Mission and Forming Leaders for Mission. The Spanish versions of both will be available to the public soon. It is our plan of offer other resources – related to family life and youth evangelization – in the near future. As always, all of our resources are offered at no cost to the faithful of the Archdiocese of Boston.
We are grateful to God for His guidance throughout these past 6+ years. It has only been through His grace that we have been able to create and offer these resources. We entrust this new endeavor to Him and trust He will do with it as He wills. Additionally, thank you to all those who have been a part of our team since the beginning – all of you are reflected to some degree in what we now have to offer.
Please join us in praying for the success of Evangelize and in a particular for the team members who are heading down to the Mid Atlantic Congress in Baltimore this week to promote Evangelize publicly for the first time. You can follow along via our Twitter and Instagram accounts!
Lastly, spread the word about EVANGELIZE to others!
