DESCRIPTION:A Celebration of Convalidation is an opportunity for couples married outside of the Catholic Church to enter a marriage covenant in the Catholic tradition\, be strengthened by God’s grace\, and be supported by His Church. A husband\, wife\, and God are like a three-ply chord – “… not easily broken” (Eccl 4:12). \nIf you and your spouse desire holy matrimony in the Catholic Church\, you are invited to convalidate your marriage through your parish at a date of your choosing or join Bishop Cristiano Barbosa together with other couples at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross on Saturday\, February 14th as part of World Marriage Week.  \nBefore you register\, download this document for important information regarding the preparation for convalidation. This PDF is also available in Spanish and Haitian-Creole . \nFamilies and friends are invited to attend. The ceremony will include the Liturgy of the Word and the Celebration of Matrimony. All are welcome to attend the regularly scheduled 4:30 PM Mass prior to the ceremony. \n  \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:The Parent's Eye: A Spirituality of Parenting
DESCRIPTION:Calling all parents! Join us on March 21 for a workshop designed to help you grow closer to God through your experience of parenthood. Presentations\, guided reflection\, and prayer will help participants explore how to cultivate a spirituality of parenting that is rooted in Sacred Scripture and the Church’s tradition\, yet easily relatable to the everyday realities of family life. By reflecting on their own parenting experiences\, participants will grow in awareness of the perfect love that God\, our Divine Parent\, has for them and for all people. \nThe Parent’s Eye is an original workshop created and facilitated by Dominic Margaglione\, Pastoral Associate at Saint Michael Parish in North Andover and father of three daughters. It is based on his book by the same title\, which is forthcoming from Liguori Publications. \nChildcare will be provided\, so parents are able to give this hour and a half to God. Light refreshments will be available.

SUMMARY:Life Giving Wounds Retreat
DESCRIPTION:This one-day retreat is an opportunity for adult children (age 18+) with divorced or separated parents to deeply reflect on the wounds caused by their family’s divorce and find healing alongside others who know the pain. The talks/meditations\, prayer\, small group sharing\, Eucharistic Adoration\, and Mass offered invite guests to go deeper into the healing process\, finding solace and restoration that only Christ can provide. Fr. Nick Stano will be the Spiritual Director for this retreat\, celebrating Mass and available for spiritual guidance. Fr. Nick is featured on the Apple and Spotify podcast\, “Called by Name” where he shares his faith journey following his parents’ divorce.  Breakfast\, lunch and retreat materials are provided in the program fee. DESCRIPTION:The Archdiocese of Boston invites you to join us for a Mass with persons with disabilities and the Deaf community. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Cristiano Barbosa. A reception with light refreshments will be held after the Mass across the street in the gym of Cathedral High School. \nThis Mass will be accessible for all and include a sensory-friendly space\, ASL interpreters\, Braille and large print worship aids. \nA designated drop off and pick up location will be available at 74 Union Park St. by the wheelchair ramp/Our Lady’s Chapel. Staff will be available to assist guests into the Cathedral. Some handicapped parking will be reserved at Cathedral High School parking lot (across from 10 Waltham St. Boston) and on Washington Street and Union Park St.

Dr. Janice LeBel will be the featured speaker and is a psychologist with more than thirty years’ experience in mental health\, child welfare\, juvenile justice\, and intellectual and developmental disability populations. She oversees a statewide system of inpatient and secure residential care for children and adolescents. Join other professionals in your field over breakfast with time to pray\, connect\, and exchange ideas together. Mass in the chapel will conclude the gathering. DESCRIPTION:Archbishop Richard Henning invites all couples celebrating their 10th\, 25th\, 50th or other milestone wedding anniversaries to attend the Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday\, October 25th at 3:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. The couple will renew their marriage commitment and receive a special blessing. Please select one ticket per couple. \nThere will be an opportunity for photos after the Mass. All family and friends are welcome to attend; guests do not need to register. Information on parking options will be mailed out to registered guests and included here this fall.
