DESCRIPTION:February is Black History Month\, and the Multicultural Ministry team and St. Katharine Drexel Church warmly invite you to attend the premiere screening of Hidden in Plain Sight\, a documentary exploring the history of Black Catholics in the Archdiocese of Boston. \n\nWhen: Saturday\, March 21\, 2026\nTime: 10:30 a.m.\nWhere: Lower Church\n\nThis 30-minute documentary\, produced by the Secretariat for Evangelization and Discipleship (SED)\, features archival footage of and interviews with members of the Black Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Boston. Filmed and edited by SED Communications and Content Consultant Ann Gennaro\, the documentary offers a brief historical overview of the efforts of key religious communities and individuals whose pastoral care and leadership enabled Black Catholics in the United States—and in Boston—to build an infrastructure that fostered spaces to gather\, celebrate\, deepen their faith\, and be seen\, while contributing significantly to the life and history of our Church and Archdiocese. \nFollowing the screening\, please join us for light refreshments and informative panel discussion. \nFor more information\, or to host a screening at your parish\, prayer group\, religious education class\, school\, or classroom\, please contact us at multiculturalministry@rcab.org. Herlihy Drive; and on St. Thomas More Road.\nParking is usually available on the Commonwealth Avenue side\, with a sidewalk leading around the back to the side entrance.\nFollow the sign for accessible parking\, where there is a ramp that leads to an elevator.\nSt. Ignatius is also across the street from the Boston College T stop at the end of the B Line.
