SUMMARY:Fall Faith Formation Leader Meeting (West)
DESCRIPTION:We invite faith formation leaders who accompany adults and children in their journey of discipleship to join other leaders for gatherings of prayer\, support\, sharing\, networking\, and learning. Lunch is on us. We hope you can attend! \nWe will offer these opportunities for faith formation leaders to gather around the archdiocese 2 times a year.  Please register for the date or location that best fits your schedule.  While everyone is always welcome\, there is no need to plan to attend more than one of the meetings each season. \nThis month we will hear briefly from Deacon Jim Greer about pastoral care offerings for healthcare\, parish nursing\, and bereavement ministry from the chaplaincy department and have a group conversation about forming and managing catechists.

SUMMARY:Exploring a Vision for Youth Ministry: Parish Teams (West)
DESCRIPTION:We all desire for young people to encounter Christ and to follow Him. Please plan on joining the Secretariat for Evangelization and Discipleship and Andrew Ministries for important discussions on the Archdiocese of Boston’s vision for youth ministry. Pastors and parish teams (staff and volunteers) are invited to attend one of the sessions (9/26\, 9/27\, or 9/28) that works best for you. \n  \nAs the Archdiocese of Boston is preparing to lower the age for the Sacrament of Confirmation\, this will have an impact on how we minister to our young people across our respective ministries. The Archdiocese of Boston is excited to announce a partnership with Everett Fritz and Andrew Ministries. All ministry leaders (clergy\, DREs\, YMs\, and volunteers) are encouraged to attend a seminar with Everett Fritz on one of 3 dates. In these presentations\, we will discuss the Archdiocese of Boston’s vision for youth ministry and how we intend to support your efforts with young people.

DESCRIPTION:Faith formation leaders are invited to an end-of-the program year celebration which will include time for prayer\, learning\, and fellowship. Lunch will be provided. \nDavid Carvalho\, Secretary for the New Evangelization in the Diocese of Fall River\, will speak during the luncheon. \nDavid Carvalho has served in parish catechetical leadership\, youth ministry and Catholic secondary education across the Archdioceses of New York\, New Jersey\, and the Diocese of Albany. Since 2020\, he has served as Secretary for the New Evangelization for the Diocese of Fall River\, aiding parishes in the areas of evangelization\, catechesis and parish life. Holding a Master’s degree in Religious Education from Fordham University and his Bachelors from Siena College\, he resides in Fall River with his wife and three young children.
