A Conversation About the Future of Faith Formation: Is Traditional Faith Formation Dead?

February 7 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

All pastors, clergy, and faith formation leaders are invited to join us on Zoom for a discussion on the current and future landscape of faith formation. A panel of pastors from parishes within the Archdiocese of Boston and the Diocese of Fall River will share what is currently bearing fruit, the structures and programs that no longer serve us as well, and the importance of meeting the unique needs of the community while intentionally being rooted in the best practices of evangelization.

Panelists:

  • Fr. Marc J. Bishop, V.F. – Pastor, The Catholic Parishes of Arlington which include St. Camillus and St. Agnes
  • Fr. Brian Mahoney – Pastor, Holy Rood Collaborative of Chelmsford which include St. John the Evangelist, St. Margaret of Scotland, and St. Mary parishes
  • Fr. Craig Pregana – Pastor, St. John the Evangelist in Attleboro

 Moderator: Chris Donoghue

*Please note this call is not related to the recent announcement that the ordinary age for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation with the Archdiocese of Boston is now 8th grade, around the age of 13-14. Stay tuned for information regarding upcoming sessions dedicated to this recent announcement.
