This 30-minute documentary, produced by the Secretariat for Evangelization and Discipleship, highlights the rich history and enduring faith of the Black Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Boston. Through archival footage and interviews with community members, the film traces the pastoral leadership and commitment of religious communities and individuals whose efforts created vital spaces for Black Catholics to gather, celebrate, deepen their faith, and be fully seen within the life of the Church. Filmed and edited by SED Communications and Content Consultant Ann Gennaro, the documentary honors the profound contributions of Black Catholics to the history, mission, and vitality of the Archdiocese and the wider Church in the United States.
